"It" Trend: Charlize Theron Brings Flats to the Red Carpet.

CHARLIZE THERON attended the AFI Fest 2009 gala screening of '' The Road'' in Hollywood last night wearing a gorgeous silver mini dress and... flat sandals. While the tall actress definitely doesn't need the inches added by heels, I wonder if the sandals don't dress down the look too much. Perhaps we are so used to killer hills on the red carpets in the last few years, even embellished flats look to us like almost like a fashion faux pas. What do you think?
