Following mostly monochromatic Fall 2008 accessories collection, Marc Jacobs brings lots of bright light to Louis Vuitton Cruise 2009. Color is the main motif in this collection, while the traditional LV monogram gets multidimensional treatment as opposite to the traditional print. Once again, highly creative move that I'm sure will be welcomed by the modern consumer. Combined with the trendy fluorescent hues these bags meant to become the "It" accessory of the season.
In addition to purses this season's star accessories include neoprene visors, archive print sarongs and patent fingerless driving gloves in graphic black or shocking pink, while - away from the beach - outsize sunglasses, long fringed scarves and beige ceramic bracelets catch the glamorous mood.
A striking shoe collection compliments the ready-to-wear with eye-catching colors and strong, structured styles dominated by towering wedges in satin, metallic leather or flower print canvas that create bold color block effect. Other standouts are strappy gold sandals with a see-through wedge that reveals a stiletto heel underneath, thongs in fluorescent neoprene or brightly colored rubber and cotton canvas.
Surprisingly fresh and extremely modern.
