Demi Moore and Mischa Barton didn't miss their chance this morning to take a look at the new Spring 2008 collection Miss Sixty showed at the New York Fashion Week. I'm sure they didn't leave disappointed since the show, in my opinion, was one of the best in the fashion week so far. The Italian brand known for its trend-setting denim draws inspiration from Andy Warhol's 1966 cult art-house film the Chelsea Girls. With its pioneering technique of simultaneous side-by-side projections of contrasting images this film is one of the defining art works of that period. By mixing 60s style prints, eclectic colors and modern shapes Miss Sixty creates a unique fresh look that is quoting that art period. Hats are playing a big role this season, seen on many runways and getting here at Miss Sixty special treatment by using patent leather and clear plastic shades. Miss Sixty is known by referencing the 70s, but in this collection they also recall the 60s in a new way, while staying true to the Miss Sixty brand – sexy, glamorous and fun. (SEPTEMBER 6th, 2007)
