Pistol Panties Swimwear Debut in Miami.
Pistol Panties Swimwear Debut ...

Designer Deborah Fleming debuted her Pistol Panties Spring Summer 2009 swimwear collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. With star fans like Sarah Jessica Parker, Elle Macpherson, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer, among many others, Pistol Panties runway show was a sparkling affair.

Pistol Panties, a UK brand inspired by timeless styles from around the world, is known for retro chic and evocatively glamorous swimwear designed after the iconic shapes and silhouettes of the 1950s pinup belles. British/Colombian designer Deborah Fleming draws influence from her diverse heritage to combine Bond girl femininity with vibrant colors and eclectic vintage prints inspired by Latin American dance and music. Each style is named after a different pin-up girl - from beautifully classic cuts to the latest trends, daring glamour to cute, quirky prints – this award-winning international favorite has developed a new variety of styles and shapes creating supremely glamorous silhouettes that guarantee a perfect fit bikini for every girl.

The new Spring Summer 2009 Collection, titled "Nights in Deauville," is inspired by Ancient Egyptian silhouettes and the Art Deco Era in Deauville, France.  The luxury and opulence of the Era is seen in the swimsuits’ Swarovski-encrusted necklines and belts, and in the luxurious bikinis bejeweled in shades of amber, topaz, aquamarine, and smoky emerald. When designing the pieces Fleming drew inspiration from the nightlife during the Era, imagining the clubs frequented by some of the world’s most established fashion icons like Coco Chanel. Blue and red polka dots, ruffled necklines, and sleek marine and cream shimmery suits capture the old French vintage swimsuits of the time. With names like Greta (Garbo), Rita (Hayworth), and Jean (Harlow), each style in the “Nights in Deauville” collection is named after a different film starlet of the 1920’s and 30’s. The perfect complement to the swimsuits, a jaw-dropping collection of flowing dresses and Kaftans, all made of 100% Italian silk chiffon, will also take center stage at this glittering affair.
