First 2009 resort collection are in, and probably provide enough input to what to expect for the Fall-Spring 09 transition.

Two major trends observed in the shows were sticking to neutrals (Chanel, Fendi) and bringing a double dose of bright colors (Dior, Oscar De la Renta).

While Karl Lagerfeld worked the signature black for Chanel, Fendi went for a nautical theme with navy palette. 

Dior extravaganza included every possible splash of color with an accent on pink and purple, orange and yellows. Prints ranging from florals to sophisticated geometric shapes dazzled on the runway. Oscar de la Renta, except few floral prints, stayed true to bold solids and went for surprising combinations of colors, some of which left me speechless...
