"It" shoes: Fringed Gladiator Sandals

"It" shoes: Fringed Gladiator Sandals
"It" shoes: Fringed Gladiator ...

I Am Fashion wrote a month back about the new "It" shoes of the season by Etro, which take  the Gladiator sandals trend and add some fringe all over it.

The result is pretty extreme, and doesn't seem to serve any aesthetic purpose other than screaming "look at me, I'm so fashion forward I'm willing to rock ugly shoes!"   It was only a matter of time until celebs start using these to draw attention.

And that's exactly what Kimberly Stewart did at the Coachella Music Festival last night.

Kimberly was spotted with the new pair of Etro sandals, fitting perfectly into the hipsters Coachella scene.

It's a real weakness, ok? A problem! A fringe ADDICTION. :)

A great post - objectivity in a fashion article! Ten out of Ten! (Coincidentally, I just mentioned fashion victims in my Tresemme Closet comment!) I wouldn't call these 'shoes' so much as 'leg candy!'

I would wear those sandals to a couple of places. I like them! But the rest of my outfit would be simple. Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence too! Did you see my video?

i love gladiators...but i don't like them with a fringe...i feel the whole point of the strappy show gets hidden.

Hey! I made a Blog about those sandals. I kinda fell in love with them when I saw them on Tanya D backstage and Philip Lim. I like them although they are a little extreme... So I decided to find a pair that had less obnoxious fringe action. check them out here : http://www.ev-said.com/2008/02/spring-trends-fringed-sandals.html
