Although collaborations are the latest retail craze, Intermix managed to come up with a cool concept that promotes not only fashion, but Art. All while helping to support  the Art Production Fund,which is a non profit organization dedicated to facilitating ambitious projects by contemporary artists, reaching new audiences and expanding public participation and understanding of contemporary art .

As part of the collaboration, announced just in time for the 2009 Holiday season, Intermix is creating limited edition printed canvas reproductions of Richard Phillips’ original artwork.  These select pieces were originally re-created as “Prop Art” for the CW series Gossip Girl. In the second and current season of the series, these paintings were bought and displayed in the Van der Woodesen loft.

The 30”x36.5” paintings are available for purchase only at the New York SoHo Intermix location at 98 Prince Street. Each piece retails for $250 and 100% of the proceeds go towards supporting Art Production Fund.
