The other day I described Christopher Kanes collection for Spring as artistic but not very wearable. Looking at Basso & Brookes collection, it is equally, if not more, artistic but also absolutely wearable. If Kane focuses on the material to create effects, Basso & Brooke let the patterns play the main role. Exquisite Japanese-influenced designs in which the flora and fauna encounter graphic elements and creates astonishing collages.
Shoes with high platforms and sculpted heels that, on their own, are small pieces of art. And art is also what comes to mind looking at the belts that brings the late work of Kandinsky to mind.
It is breathtakingly beautiful and, as said, also very wearable.
