Fashion against AIDS
H&M has teamed up with Designers Against Aids (DAA), launching a collection with the help of Rihanna, Chicks on Speed, Good Charlotte, Henrik Vibskov, Jade Jagger, Katharine Hamnett, My Chemical Romance, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, the Cardigans, Tiga, Timbaland and Ziggy Marley.
The collection features T-shirts, tank tops and hoodies. Each garment features a print, with the designer’s name detailed on the neckline label. Each artist has created a print for the collection.
Chicks on Speed’s design aims to strip away the glossiness of the fashion magazines and highlights the real world. Timbaland’s design shows his desire to help others.
In the UK, prices begin at £7·99. The garments will be sold in H&M’s Divided departments.
The artists participate free of charge and 25 per cent of the proceeds from the collection will go to HIV/AIDS-prevention projects around the world.
