Cherry blossom season is an important and symbolic time of year in Japan. It marks the end of winter and the rebirth of nature with deep philosophical meanings: The cherry blossom (sakura) represents absolute beauty and is a reminder of the ephemeral nature of life, and the cherry fruit is a symbol of harmony. It's only natural that Japanese designer Masaki Matsushima captured this facet of his country's culture and rendered it in a conceptual perfume.
