It' s only taken my 24 years, but finally I' ve found it! The perfect skincare!

I remember using my mothers Dr Lewinns Private Formula when I was in primary school...Well, I remember using whatever my mother had in her bathroom to be completely honest, but Dr Lewinns left an impression.

From my middle high school years until now I thought that I would never find the ideal skincare for me. It was either too heavy, too oily, too fragrant or just plain didn' t work! I would never have said I have problem skin, or that I had particularly sensitive skin, but I could never find a product that made me feel truly comfortable with my skin.

Until now.

Dr Lewinns Puressence is one of the best ranges of skincare I have used. And I' m not a range girl. I' m more of a one of this brand one of that brand, but Puressence is just too good!

My package contained the Day & Night Fluid, Eye Gel, Foaming Cleanser and a bonus exfoliating facial polishing gel all in a lovely blue and white padded case and simple but stylish packaging! Purify, prevent and protect - it' s never too early!

Each product in the Puressence range contains the trademarked Venuceane which is an ingredient that "mimics the protection system of a deep sea micro-organism living in a toxic environment  rich in free radicals." It is based on  a baterium used in DNA research called Thermus thermophilus, the proteins in this bacterium are the basis for Venuceane' s antioxidant, free radical fighting properties.

(Like my mother always said, the cure for everything is somewhere on Earth!)

The Day and Night fluid not only goes on beatifully and actually feels mosturising, it has a beautiful, fresh smell. It doesn' t feel sticky or feel like you' re wearing a mask (which I' ve had a problem with with other face creams.) And it is a beautiful base for make-up.

The foaming cleanser is refreshing and has the same fruity fresh smell of the day and night cream. It leaves your face feeling clean, but not that shiny-squeaky clean feeling that feels harsh. It' s also great for removing makeup!

The Eye Gel sparkles! (Literally.) It is cooling and leaves a little bit of a sparkle after soaking in. It is perhaps not the best under makeup, but it does feel slightly sticky and doesn' t seem to "soak in" quite as quickly as the day and night cream. But, IT SPARKLES!

The Polishing Gel is not a member of the Puressence range, it was  a bonus product.. Very refreshing for morning use under the shower, and gentle with the addition of jojoba wax beads instead of the abraisive ingredients found in some exfoliants.

It' s a beautiful range that I am going to use forever!!
