Luminous furniture with built-in lighting
Luminous furniture with built-...
SLIDE displayed its luminous furniture this week during MAISON&OBJET 2007. the furniture is made of opaque synthetic resins with built-in lighting and features very bright modern looks. It's a clever idea that I'm sure will be successful in retail. Who doesn't want to save on a lighting fixtures and get 2-in-1?

I like the table best. The whole idea is intriguing aesthetically, but the light up chairs add an eerie feel somehow. The pictures of the chairs almost look like windows into a life-size plastic artificial Barbie world. This is one of my childhood dreams turned adult nightmare- I'm barbie and some giant hand is going to swoop down any minute to rearrange my living room. I'll stick with the table.
