My Way
I translated Dada’s philosophy and concept to into my own fashion words such as deconstruction and reformation. I wanted to present the awkwardness and ironical situations into the fashion world by twisting and deconstructing the structure of the garments. I used readymade clothes and turned them into a whole new piece of work. This was influenced by Dadaism since Dadaists represented their works by using anti-traditional materials. For example, Marcel Duchamp, who was a leader of New York Dada group, made a parody of Mona Lisa by adding moustache. To the majority, Mona Lisa is a woman of beauty. However, Duchamp gave a twist to the standard of beauty. Likewise, I also twisted the silhouette of the traditional clothes by deconstructing its original form and shape.
