This cd came out a few months back but I am still raving about it to anyone who will listen. Being an avid fan of the Foo Fighters I can proudly say they never disappoint. With their first, strong single "The Pretender" is enough to make your ears bleed, while you have a smile on your face. The video is also very intense, just building all the while, along with the song, until the explosion. Just like their music we have come to grow and love. The next release was "Long Road to Ruin" which also has a great video, but the song is very catchy and can remain in your head all day, without you hating it. By far, though, my favorite song is "Let It Die". It is slow and the lyrics are piercing.
I never have any doubt in Dave Grohl and his bandmates. Following him straight from Nirvana, and going to various Foo shows, I can tell you that they are never a disappointment. Lots of bands have a few good albums they can talk about. With the Foo Fighters, I have yet to find one that is not worth talking about or reviewing.
So, even if you are new to the Foo Fighters(I strongly recommend playing catch up) or an old fan like me, you will not lose interest at any point in this album. It is a must for anyone who dug grunge back in the day, and for anyone who enjoys music that sometimes have a little sappy undertone, but all in good fun.
The Foo Fighters are one of only 4 bands that always get 5 out of 5 stars with me. This album is definately in those ranks. I am glad they continue to make such great music and not disappoint.
Go out and get everything FOO today!!! Trust me...the great Hel(yes, it is with one L)I will not steer you wrong!
