Chic and functional, classic and impeccably designed, Jenny Yuen handbags complete any ensemble, adding the perfect finish to any look. As her clients acclaim, Jenny’s creations are extremely practical and look elegant no matter the occasion.
Imbued with fine arts sensibility and design school cool, Jenny’s handbags reflect her love for both the arts and fashion. She earned her BFA in painting and sculpture at Boston University’s School for Fine Arts and honed her skills for sewing and patternmaking at Parsons School of Design. Jenny’s eye for detail and skills in design landed her much coveted positions at famed industry studios such as Jill Stuart, Twinkle by Wenlan, Michael Kors, Anna Sui, and Craig Robinson. One of her most notable works was for Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, the Louis Vuitton collaborator who teamed with Marc Jacobs in creating the iconic “Eye-Love” and “Cherry Blossom” prints.
“I admire those who take risks and have fun,” says Jenny, who has done just that when she took the leap to start her own line. Her inspiration includes the glamorous vintage train-cases and suitcases of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s. “I like that those bags are designed for a specific purpose,” the designer explains. While exuding sophistication, her creations also have a whimsical element, apparent in her handbags’ eye-catching colors and playful motifs of silk-screened hand-drawn illustrations.
Following her personal philosophy that “everything has to be handled with the utmost precision,” Jenny works closely with her craftsmen during every stage of production to uphold the finest quality at the highest standards. Each bag and accessory is made with detailed care, beautifully proportioned, and designed for the wearer's comfort. She uses only the finest quality leathers to ensure their craftsmanship, durability, and brilliance.
The perfect combination of chic and sophistication, Jenny Yuen handbags have quickly gained an international clientele. Her creations have been featured in numerous publications such as Nylon, Marie Claire, Seventeen, and TeenVogue, and are available in boutiques throughout the United States and Japan.
