Research suggest everyone leave their comfort zone and try to develop the other side of the brain, the one they rarely use. the way of doing that might be simpler than you think - just "by switching the side of your mouse-pad you will force yourself to use your non-dominant hand. This, in turn, will stimulate the neural connections between the right and left hemispheres on your brain. Scientific research confirmed that people that use both hands equally have 10% more nerve fibers joining the two sides of the brain." Here are few tips on how to begin:
1. Move your mouse to the other side of your keyboard from where it normally sits.
2. Use your opposite hand to control the mouse.
3. Laugh at yourself when you can't control the pointer and it flies around the screen as if propelled by a two year old.
4. Allow yourself more time to do a simple task
5. Don't get frustrated easily
6. Don't change your mouse button settings
7. Try for at least a week.
Think about the benefits of what you are doing, sometimes challenge leads us to something much better. Wouldn't you want 10% more brain power?
