The Victorian Era has always fascinated and inspired me. Therefore I'm happy to see that it influences this autumn's fashion.

The Victorian autumn theme is black. Nightmarish black. Nostalgia is mixed with gothic romance and out of the coffin steps a vampire bride. With white, matte skin, bloodred lips and a black, silky outfit. The words de jour is black (of course), lace, velvet, leather, deep red, tulle and lacquered shoes and bags. Dream about a rocky English moor with howling winds (and dito wolves!), long forgotten ruins, hopeless love, rain and an eerie moon covered in clouds, and you're there.

Designers have also looked to the world of music (as always), particulary rock musik and the gothic. The long despised leather pant is back - as  long as it fits like a second skin.

A black hat or hair accessories with feathers or tulle paired with exclusive materials lika velvet or silk, and high-heeled shoes makes the icing on the cake.
