Swedish designer Camilla Norrback is famous for her exquisite designs and luxurious clothing. She's also known for her environmental concerns - she uses organic materials for her beautiful collections.

Camilla Norrback was born and raised in Jakobstad in Finland. The desire to design has been a dream since childhood, when she made her first piece of clothing in school. Camilla lives in Stockholm, Sweden and her main store is, by a curious coincidence, located at Norrbackagatan. Her clothing is sold in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, USA and Japan. 

As a designer, she has studied pattern construction and is essentially a milliner, but refers to herself as self-taught, as she hasn't attended any designschool, like for example the famous Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm. She started her own label in 1999.

Camilla Norrback has a passion for fabric, and this is what made her use organic materials. At a design fair in Gothenburg, 2002, she found a gorgeous fabric, which was organic. This inspired her to start using organic materials exclusively.

60-75 percent of all Camilla Norrback-clothing are SKAL-cerified and remaining fabrics are ÖKO-TEX-certified or choosen with respect for the environment. Since cotton is one of the 'dirtiest' materials when it comes to cultivation and manufacturing, Camilla Norrback's goal is to use cotton to a lesser extent. She wants to be as environmentally conscious as possible without compromising her creativity.

Camilla Norrback Design is also promoting ethical produktion, with close contact with the producers of fabrics and only working with small companies where insight into the work process is easier.

But, above all, her clothing is very beautiful. Feminine, inspired and dreamlike, they make you feel like you're truly soaked in ecoluxury!
