Amazon MP3 launched today and it looks like a serious competitor to the iTunes store. It offers over 2 million songs, all in MP3 format, which means they can play on any digital media player, including the iPod.
Most songs are between $0.89 and $0.99, and most albums are between $5.99 and $9.99. It uses 1-Click ordering to make buying music quick and easy. Click `Buy´ and after a simple one-time set-up, your downloads will start automatically.
Once you've downloaded your music, you can use whichever media player application you prefer to manage it, like iTunes or Windows Media Player.
