Hitting a Wall: 5 Tips to Bust That Plateau is a great start for confronting one's plateau, go to July's Body Section to reasd more.

Plateaus happen more more complicated reasons than most realilze.  I'm the type of person who loves to give advice, share ideas, and gets inspired by others.  I've also been around awhile, have chosen to let myself be round to a point, and have learned from my petite Mom to keep studying and learning.

1) Do snack some in the evening.  Just before bed can be best.  A diabetic frirend discovered and verified, that if she eats certain foods before she goes to bed:  her blood sugar is better.

It also allows you to relieve stress and anxiety of that hungry tummy.  If you are going to have a light snack add fiber. Chia seeds are fun or Superseed by Garden of Life (not a whole scoop) hey it's sprouted food that even has protein.  Mom likes youplait yogurt.

2) Check your stress. Holy Basil tea or capsules.  Reduces coritsol and stress and targets tummy fat. How perfect can you get. Use often.

3) Up your veggie count and antioxidants. Cleans you out, reduces toxic buildup, and helps metabolism.  I know several people who have used Green Magma Powder in a drink 3X a day and they lost 20 #'s.

4) Back to stress: Women we all know that hormones can get unbalanced and cause havoc.  If you are basically healthy, evening primrose, Maca, and black currant can ease your cycle and help you lose some weight. Check with your doctor. Double dosing with evening primrose will help 50% of women lose 5 lbs or more in approximately 2 weeks. (I was not part of the 50%) It's great for the skin too.

Check out Barry Sears' the ZONE and read the chapter on GLA's and Eicosanoids.

5) Do a detox or detox &diet. I like Health from the Sun's 4-3-2-1. Liquid, simple, tastes OK. LOse about 8#'s per bottle, best not to use more than 2 bottles and then rest. I ate a normal healthy veggie diet with my no-no's (ate whatever I wanted, and still lost weight). A more thorough education is provided by Ann Louise Gittleman in her Fat Flush book. Caution I needed more carbs than she recommended.  However I did not get through the two week start but did lose weight.

Do gentle detox's such as Enzymatic Therapy's Whole Body Detox.

6) Yoga, Chi lel Gong or relax.  Remember you are perfectly fine as you are. Pamper yourself. Chill. Take a break. Take a slow walk.  Start a gratitude journal. Draw. Read something funny.

Less worry, less fat. PS Dance or laugh a lot! Garden.

7) Take some supplements, especially B vitamins.

8) Reduce your protein for a week or two weeks.  Simply smaller portions.  WOrked wonders on my Dad, and his cardio-vascular system improved.  Less acidity helps too.

9) Up your enzymes and probiotics.  DO both. You'll absorb nutrients better, and if you had more than you needed to stay alive and digest food, they work on other body issues.   Lypo a theraputic enzyme formula by Enzymeidica digests fat. Pricey but it works.

10) Green tea.  Fucothin by Garden of Life.  Fucothin is supposed to take two bottles to really get into your system, however it started working on me in less than half a bottle.

Snack throughout the day. Eat fresh local food when possible. Create mini-spa days. Love yourself and those around you.  I bet if you worked out 20 minutes less, and had a dark chocolate (well 1/2 of a bar), you'd feel better and weigh less.  Trust me, I have more tricks too!

Great suggestions for diet/detox! I've experimented with a few food-based cleanses, but some of these products look excellent!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I like the gratitude journal the most. This morning at the gym, I joked about my saggy size 36D breasts. Then I had to correct myself and thank God that at least I can wear some industrial strength underwire and they look damn good! At least I have some! See, that's gratitude!
