These Dandy Dandelions are made mostly of vintage sequins from the 1920's - 1950's, the last of their kind, of intense colors no longer made. Some of the sequins were imported from Japan, some from France, others from Belgium. These vintage sequins represent an era forever gone.
I named them *dandelions* because their structure is similar to a dandelion flower. Dandy Dandelions are based on high density foam balls. Each sequin is attached with a stainless steel pin capped by beads.
These Dandy Dandelions were inspired by my aunt to who is the goddess at creating these things. The four that you see here were created lovingly and meticulously by yours truly. To make a long story short, the Dandy Dandelion venture was a grand idea that did not materialize. However, these prototypes are too pretty to keep hidden away, so I am sharing three of them with you.
