With the Presidential Inauguration Ball on the 20th of January, the Obama's had to make a statement, and that's exactly what Michelle Obama did. Jason Wu, born in Taiwan is now working in Manhattan and he had a lot to say about this dress. "It's soft, feminine, but powerful; I wanted to convey all that in a dress," Wu said. Michelle flowed gracefully down the stairs with the small train on her dress twirling behind her. It was the perfect dress for our new First Lady. The one strap on the shoulder emphasized her well-toned shoulders and arms. The fitted bodice and the gathered skirt made a beautiful contrast to each other, for the skirt elegantly fell to the floor. The white chiffon fabric of the gown looked stunning with her skin tone with the small fabric "appliques" and beads that sprinkled the gown, and to keep her look simple and classic, she had her jewelry and hair simple as to not overdue the sparkles and glitter of the beads. Her shoulder-sweeping diamond earrings, silver bangles on her arm, and her big but tasteful rock on her finger all fit together perfectly to produce the perfect look,"soft, feminine, but powerful." I think we can all agree that this dress does portray Michelle Obama flawlessly.
