Ever noticed how the US and other parts of the world dress down? For the past 1,000's of years people have tried their hardest to look wealthy. An example is the 1700-1800's where every gown was mostly hand-sewn and hours upon hours of labor went into every gown. If you examine the gowns closely, you will see all the meticulous stitches and care that went into the dress. Some countries around the world do still try to look higher up in class. In Guatemala, even the poorest people labor for weeks just to be able to afford a "nice" shirt. We should make better use of our resources. So why dress down?
