Doesn’t matter if you are a PC or a Mac you got to agree, Apple makes sweeeeeet stuff!
Yesterday Steve Jobs (Apple CEO) did his thing giving another awesome keynote at an Apple event (link to full video below), the other thing he is great at is generating buyer's remorse...
Chances are if you got an iPod/iPhone lately you are wishing you waited since the 2008 line is way cooler! Here's the lowdown:
1. iTunes will now let you generate iPhone ringtones from a list of 500k songs - $0.99 (over the price of the song). And a second announcement was a Starbucks store on iTunes delivering real time information about music you are hearing at the Starbucks you are in.
2. iPod shuffle – now in 5 new colors! - $79
3. iPod nano – This is a completely redesigned product! – 4GB $149, 8GB - $199 The new nano features:
* Full metal design
* bigger storage 4GB/8GB
* Video, amazing new larger (2”) and brighter high quality screen
* longer battery life: 24hr Audio and 5hr of Video
* new interface with cover flow and
* some games
4. iPod classic – again completely redesigned product! - 80GB -$249, 160GB - $349
The new classic features:
* Full metal design
* Huge storage 80GB/160GB
* new interface with cover flow and
* longer battery life: 40hr Audio and 7hr of Video
5. iPode touch – this new class of iPod is basically a stripped down iPhone, So if you like iPhone but not AT&T you can get one of these without the phone - 8GB – $299, 16GB - $399
It includes:
* Multi-Touch interface.
* WIRELESS and the SAFARI INTERNET BROWSER!
* battery life: 22hr Audio and 5hr of Video.
6. iPhone – No changes here except… it’s now $200 less! At $499. I wonder if this is a defensive move to get more market share before Google Phone and others catch up with Apple…
