Gucci Fall 2008
Gucci Fall 2008

MILAN-

Milan remains
true to form with smart tailoring, clean lines and an abundance of tweed, it was visible in almost every collection from impeccably tailored jackets to skinny trousers. Designers; focused on proportion and volume rather than a carved silhouette. Mongolian lamb fur vests and puffy sleeved tops and coats added extra volume and created amazing layers. Fabulously icy ski wear in vibrant prints boasted down the runway, as well as luxurious cossack/bohemian glam rock gear reminiscent of London during the seventies. There were gorgeous palettes of muted earths, jewel tones, and autumnal colors referred to as “drab fab.” luxurious furs such as sable, fox and mink appeared to be a overriding theme, including a 24-karat gold mink mini skirt shown in Fendi’s
collection.
