    Designers travelled far and wide this season, bringing home decorative looks with world-class style. Ethnic inspirations from Native American embroidery, African prints, Japanese kimonos, and Indian saris accented collections. The exquisite prints combined jagged zig-zag patterns and arrowheads with sun and moon motifs on silk kimono-jackets, slinky silk jersey dresses, loose-fitting trousers, and A-line short skirts and shorts. Romantic dresses with ruffles at the shoulder created a “highly ruffined” look. Striking patterns also worked in rich gold leather and colored snakeskin on fringed suede jackets and coats. Collections blazed a trail of brilliant color, mixing pinks, reds, oranges and dazzling hues of turquoise with black, white and tan.
