What a difference a year makes. Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection is as different from the Spring 2011 collection as night and day. Last season was all about bold colors and even bolder prints, but this year Jacobs returns with softest hues and delicate prints and patterns. The collection has the look and feel of the china dolls of a vintage music box. The eyelet dresses and skirts have motifs of pretty daisies, silhouettes of a children's story book and pastel shades of delicious, frothy confections. Even the biker jacket is made to look fragile. I think with this collection Marc Jacobs underscored the fact that feminine dressing will be the trend in 2012.
