Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It's written into the constitution and in my personal journey toward nirvana I have found that a stylish pair of .. well .. any beautiful little thing in a not so little size 10 brings me immense happiness. There is something powerful about adding four inches to my already amazon-like 5' 10" frame. There is an inxoticating allure to slipping on a gorgeous pair of peep-toe pumps, sporting a freshly painted pedi and walking that sex kitten/ ceo, is she, isn't she line with every step I take. I prefer to believe I am both sex-kitten and CEO, however, I digress. How does a fashionista on a budget properly store 50 plus pairs of my personal happiness properly when I have an aparment the size of one of those tantalizing little shoe boxes?
Easy! Grab 4 or 5 boxes of 3/4" inch teacup hooks from your local hardware store. They come in white, brass and silver so coordinate or blend in, it's your call. Choose a location that's easily accessible and in need of some decoration. I chose the wall of my closet, however, any wall will do, and place the hooks in any pattern or cluster you desire. Any shoe with a strap can be hung on the wall with its companion placed heel first on the hook facing down.
Not only will this free up hard to come by floor space, but it makes an interesting art installation for only a few dollars! So the next time you pursue a little happiness in the newest fall trend, hang 'em on the wall so you can enjoy them even when they aren't on your feet!
