In case you haven't noticed, the Queen is back -- not that she was ever truly gone -- and now she's bringing in a whole slew of new artistic and fashionable introductions for Spring 2012.
Just last week, in a pre-recorded Nightline special with ABC's Cynthia McFadden that aired in parts on 20/20 and Good Morning America, Madonna answered questions on a number of subjects, from men, her new directorial feature film debut 'W.E.', to her thoughts on the much-hyped-and-popularized Lady Gaga.
When asked about her feelings on the young singer/song-writer's title track 'Born This Way' -- which has a remarkably similar feel to Madonna's much earlier hit 'Express Yourself' -- Madge remarked that it felt "reductive"; in other words, simple and crude.
In the same interview, however, Madonna addressed the possibility of a duet with Gaga. While there's nothing in the works at present, the megastar seems to be open minded. "Never say never," she quipped.
And just last night, Madonna made yet another blunder. She was seen on the Golden Globes red carpet in a silver-metallic gown with textural embellishments by Reem Acra along with jewelry by Neil Lane. While posing for the cameras, she had a run-in with Jessica Biels, as she accidentally stepped on the 29-year-old's dress -- no drama there, the two of them laughed it off.
Later, she accepted an Award for Best Original Song for a motion picture --- she claims that her manager, Guy O'seary, 'harangued' her into recording the new track, 'Masterpiece'. Nevertheless, it's a lovely addition to her ouevre.
Of course, there's more to come -- next month, we'll all finally get to feast our eyes on 'W.E.' as it hits theaters on February 3rd. Definitely an IT romantic-drama. And at long last, Madonna will take to the Superbowl stage on February 5th in Indianapolis, as she will be performing live during the half-time show -- a true first for the Queen. And being the over-achiever that she is, it's unlikely that Madonna will deliver anything less than perfection -- expect the unexpected. Definitely an IT show to look forward to.
And of course, stay-tuned, this is just the beginning - Madonna's 12th studio album, 'M.D.N.A., is set for release sometime this March. And with the records come the tours -- and yes, you've guessed it, this Summer she will be back on the road. Move aside starlets and coned-bra-imposters, the Queen is taking 2012 by storm.
