Giving Honor To A Fallen HERO

Today, April 4th, 2008, marks the 40th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's death. We all remember this historic leader as the man who gave the famous "I Have a Dream Speech" in Washington D. C., 1963.

He was sooo much more than that. I was only 13 at the time of Martin Luther King Jr's assassination on the balcony of the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee where he had gone to protest the lack of fairness in wages/rights of sanitation workers but, I will always remember the stricken faces of countless number of people, of all races, who could barely find voice to speak on such a tragic injustice done to a man who only stood for peace/justice for all man, woman and child.

People say that Martin's I Have A Dream was his premonition of what he knew would become his fate. Martin Luther King, in his own words, foretold the future...that although he might not get to the mountain top with us, he knew that one day, we'd get to the mountain top...

A man of justice, equality , compassion and a keen sense of forwarning left a hole in America's road to justice for all...
