Diet And Healthy Living From Drs Oz And Roizen
I suppose I' ve conditioned myself to the rule of "eating to live;not living to eat" ,but,I' m also knowing that living healthy isn' t just about the portion of your food intake. According to Drs. Mehmet Oz and Michael Roizen it involves 5 basics that everyone need to incoporate into their activities of daily living.
In their new ultimate anti-aging book, the healthy living doctors take you through the paces of what they know to be beneficial to your well being. Dr. Roizen stresses the importance of having "passion" in our lives, stating how a passion for something plays a major function in helping to keep us young. It could be anything from meditating, horseback riding, painting...writing. He notes stress, smoking and no exercise as culprits in the aging process.
Dr. Oz encourages in "You: On a Diet" a regimen of 3 times a week exercises by using exercise equipment for strength training and weight lifting. He' s in total agreement with Dr. Roizen that we should meditate, sleep well, eat a balanced diet, take vitamins and maintain a healthy sex life.
The amount of sleep we should have, kinds of vitamins, recommended daily intake of foods and wines; Foods rich in fibers, omega fats and anti oxidant checklists are covered by Dr. Oz. I mean who knew that women over 40 should be taking 2 baby aspirin a day? or, that white tea was right up there with green tea as a recommended antioxidant...
I' m not on a diet to do list here, simply trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle ...
