It's been a hectic year trying to get Clara's Freelance Writing Business off the ground and into the consults of client lists but, I did find time just this September to relax and watch episodes of The Housewives Of Atlanta. I don't know why I'm suddenly a big fan of this show! Maybe it's because I haven't seen such women drama/ egos & cattiness displayed for the public's consumption in a long time. The escapades of Carrie Bradshaw & her bff have nothin' on these housewives... The women consist of four African-American women & their white counterpart whose intro to the show is "In Atlanta, money & class do give you power"... First off, show me the CLASS! Well more power to the woman who freely spend lavishly on materialistic things that seemingly defines their self-worth... Insanely obtuse of such smart & savvy women. Here's the motto that the other women live by:
NeNe: " I don't try to keep up with The Joneses...I am The Joneses "- Don't you mean your husband's money?
Sheree': " People are intimidated by my success"- err, what success would that be again?
Kandi : " I'm an independent woman doing it for myself" AND she is the only one who actually is...you go Kandi.
Kim : "If it don't make me money, I don't do it"- hmmm, maybe I should use this one sided view of doing business in my own line of networking.. I suppose I was led to this show by some divine intervention just so I could have something to vent about in different venues because The Housewives Of Atlanta definitely makes you want to go there!
