Yep, I'm talking about women over 50! Women who have struggled to maintain a sense of style, fashion and beauty as a worlds population tends to gear itself more & more toward the generation Ys and Xers... seemingly, overlooking the obvious buying power of the intellectual, sophisticated babyboomers and silent generations... Ok, admittedly, a year ago, I didn't know beans about what was fashionable for women over a certain age. I still had clothes from the 80s/90s hanging in my closets deemed 'cute' and age appropriate by yours truly. It would take my young granddaughter to advise that "Grammy, you need a makeover!" before I actually took the hint. I'm proud to say that I've learned a few things since that fateful summer day from young folks/fashionistas like yourselves as well as beauty/fashion mavens at sites all over the internet and right here in my own back yard. I'm no expert, mind you, but, I'm knowing low rider jeans weren't meant for me! nor, the straight leg... however, this fall I will be looking toward the modern fit jean&pants, beautiful crop jackets, I love boots and cozy comfort clothes...i will not be afraid to experiment with color and I'm certainly not opposed to showing a bit of age appropriate skin when deemed 'chic'... I think if Michael Phelps mom, Debbie can become the next 'it' fashionista/ spokesperson for a line of clothes at Chico stores...women over 50 aren't doing bad at all ... now,if I could just do something with this hair!
